Burn

Build it up to break it back down.

Its like lego, remember when you were a kid? (mostly guys) You would spend all day creating this awesome lego creation... then you just break it back down. Then you do it all again.

Albert Einstein once said that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insanity.

So, where does this all play in?

Lets start on a purely emotional scale.

You start relationships, to break relationships. You start them, looking for the right person, and if they are not, you break them. Its that heat of the moment, just like lego. You build it all up, you enjoy it while it lasts, and then when you are bored with it you just smash it and start building something else up. Life is like lego then, isn't it.

We... savor this hell... one could say we enjoy the destruction of one and the building of another. Going back to the previous post... we need to go through hell... Its in our nature. We need to experience that down, in order to experience that up. That depression for that happiness. That hate for that love.

It's a cycle. It repeats. It always will. Building something up, breaking it back down, building it up again, breaking it back down again. What inspired me to write this post is Linkin Park's new single "Burn it Down" off their upcoming album "Living Things". It has almost a devilish rhythm to it... it's completely serene in itself but the song itself screams destruction.

So... by Einsteins method... since we repeat this cycle over and over again and expect something to be different, are we insane? Insane by nature, perhaps. We all do crazy things for other people... that gives us no benefit... and might not even benefit the other. It just "benefits" in general.

So maybe, we all need a little help. We all need to identify our own personal cycles and break them. Break it back down, and hope to God that when we build it back up things will be different.

We crave change, but remain the same.

What we don't Know

Hey welcome back to the blog.
First off: I would like to address the title of the blog. I am thinking about changing it, as I have changed and so has the purpose of the blog; not drastically... but enough to rethink the little things in life, you know? The blog title being one of them. So please, let me know about what you think about the matter.

Onward...
Don't make a girl a promise, if you know you cant keep it. That is a classic Halo quote right there (nerd!). This is something that has been bothering me for a while.... We all make mistakes, we all make promises that sometimes we can't keep... but sometimes I think that we make these promises for immediate benefit and trust instead of long-term relationship building.. that we make blind promises that we know that we will probably forget about. What I think about the matter is that as long as you are completely sincere in your promise and make your legitimate best effort to keep the promise then it doesn't really matter if you fulfill that promise... because sometimes it's just downright impossible. Just try you're absolute best to keep the promise... most of the time if you try your best and the promise isn't totally absurd then you should be fine. For Example, you make a promise to never say a certain word again. Odds are, you will blurt it out (and because karma is a bitch, at the worst moment possible). I think this is especially true to the opposite gender or whatever gender suits your fancy. When you are blinded by love, you will say or do anything... which could include promises you know you can't keep. Hence the quote from Cortana, "Don't make a girl a promise, if you know you can't keep it". Don't get too far ahead of yourself. Know your limits, reach those limits, then expand on those limits... never try to exceed those limits. Try your best to keep every promise you make... you owe yourself and whoever you made that promise to at least a honest and sincere effort. Try your best not to make stupid promises either... ones you know you can't keep. One's you make blindly for immediate trust and benefit, not looking at long-term trust and relationship building. Something that always should ring in everyone's head is that we are characterized and we are defined by what we do when no one else is watching, when no one else cares. When you are not trying to impress someone... you should be trying to impress yourself.

War... War never changes. Inspiring words ringing from a game very close to me, Fallout 3. In a sense, this makes a lot of sense to me. War will always happen, and at its very core, take away all implications, its still war. These soldiers bleed for their cause... War will never change... is solidified peace obtainable?

What or who would you make sacrifices for? The one's you love... who or what do you feel so strongly about that you are willing to bleed for it/them. You are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice. Basically, what is your true passion? What can make you feel completely different and passionate about something that nothing else can? Would you do what Goku did, and protect those who you will never meet, out of the goodness of your heart? Sorry about going overboard with the references today, it just makes sense to me.

So what do you think... do you think that war will change? That at its core, war... take away all technologies and implications, will change? Personally, I think that war won't change and sorry to say, I'm pessimistic about war ever stopping. It's going to be the end of us, one way or another. What I remain optimistic about, is how these wars will be fought, or even how we will stop some of these wars from happening in the first place. War is brutal the way it is now... death, violence, destruction, extremely cost-heavy. Maybe one day war won't be fought with violence, but with words... I doubt it but its a possibility and you have to remain optimistic about that. Also with the efforts around the world from countries like Canada and Norway, maybe we can prevent some of these wars from starting in the first place... maybe war is just natural. At some point, we are going to over-populate the Earth and maybe war is human-instinct to stay alive... the irony in that eh?

Remember, this is all opinion. This is what goes on in my head... well this is the end product. There's a straightening process with the hurricane that is my thoughts :P

So just a quick update on the songs I have been trying to record and post... One is almost done! It takes a lot of time to record a version I am satisfied with... I expect a lot from myself so it probably takes a lot longer than it should. I am by no means talented, but I want to shake it up a little.

Song of the day is by Linkin Park and Shinedown. Linkin Park's song is Shadow of the Day off Minutes to Midnight (im sure you have heard it) and Shinedown's song is I'll Follow You off Amaryllis
Linkin Park: Shadow of the Day

Shinedown: Ill Follow You

That's it. Thank you for reading and hopefully listening... I wonder if people even listen to the songs...

Remember... compliments help every now and then..

I fucked up

One Way or Another

Hey

Sorry I haven't posted much this month... tons going on (even during the break).
I'm just going to talk today. Nothing special, just what is on my mind.

So Yesterday It was me Birthday, and I'm now 18. Weird stuff. I remember back when I was younger and I wanted to be older, and Now all I want is to be younger. I suppose we all think that anyways though, one way or another.
I'm 18. I have been alive for 18 years on Planet Earth. I am now legally an Adult. What does that even mean? I still feel, look, and act exactly the same as I did before. It's weird.

I think I can speak for the majority when I say that we all want to be successful in life. What we want may be different though. What do we define as success? Money? Power? Doing something that you like? Easy work? A challenge? Making a difference? Fighting for your Country... In my opinion, we are all fucking clouded by what we think we want, and what we actually want. School tells us to do good, so we can make a lot of money and do a job that you actually want to do. That is great, and for the most part that is probably the best way to go about things, you know? Not closing any doors for your future.

But what about fighting for your country? What about the soldiers who opted to join the Military and contribute, protecting our freedom? Some soldiers join the military not because they will pay for their education, not because they aren't capable of anything else, not because it's their last resort, because they want to. They feel a certain duty; to serve the many and to protect the freedom of the many, some of them paying the greatest sacrifice. It intrigues me, those who join the military with serious interests in those values... they are heroes. I guess what I'm getting at here is, if the time ever comes where your country needs you, where the people need a hero, would you stand up and fight? I know we would all say that we would, but who would really be willing to make the greatest sacrifice for people who you don't even know? People who you would probably never meet? I'm not saying that I would, I'm just thinking out loud. I'm not ruling it out either though, it's impossible to really say until something like that happens, and if it does I think it really depends on if you really are comfortable with who you are and what you stand for. I guess that applies to everything though doesn't it, and I guess that we all have thought that at some point, one way or another

Today's post is...shorter. The fact is, my mind is in such a mess right now I don't know what to think. I have what you call, writers block right now. I want to say so much and I think I have a lot of great ideas but I can't translate those thoughts into words... you know what I mean? Maybe I will just translate it into song sometime, music speaks volumes, works speak paragraphs.

The song of the day is by Coldplay, the song is called Lost off their album Viva la Vida. Great album, and I think an under appreciated song. Here it is, I hope people actually listen to these

...What is this? A second song of the day? Yuppers, here she is. It's by the Foo Fighters, off their album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace and the song is called Statues.
Two gems right here, posted for you the faithful viewer :)

Sorry the post was a little bit short again, I hope to conquer this barrier I can't even identify soon enough.

Remember, compliments help cheer people up and can make someones day. So give them as a gift whenever necessary :)
